Suzon Schultz (The Elements of Art / Murals)

About the Artist

Suzon earned her BFA from the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design. As a Post-modern Contemporary Realist, she celebrates daily life with oils in 7 on-going series of paintings. She also works with pen and ink, watercolor, collage and bookmaking.

Suzon loves sharing with children all she is learning in her artistic exploration. Since 1982, she has owned her own art studio, Flying Shoes Studio.

Personal Statement

I find working with children, sharing my love of art and teaching them basic art skills, art expression and art appreciation a perfect way to balance the time I spend alone painting. I approach a class with a goal of giving each student a positive experience with art on whatever level the student happens to be working, thus the specially challenged or gifted each receives what is needed. I love children=19s art and relate to the students through their artwork. I am interested in working with teachers to make art part of all curriculum areas.
