Getting your hands in the Mud at The Clay Studio
Located behind Umpqua Valley Arts Center on Harvard Avenue, in the past the Clay Studio has offered clay classes for all ages and abilities in a fun and creative environment.
The Clay Studio has provided:
- After-school and Summer Arts programs in the 3-dimensional arts for kids and young adults.
- Evening adult classes in ceramics for beginners and continuing students.
- Studio space and facilities for ceramic artists needing a place to work and share ideas.
- Support for the Arts in Education programs with materials, education and our facility.
Students and artists using the facility have created pots, sculpture and tiles. The studio has kick and electric wheels, a slab roller, a pugmill, three electric kilns and lots more.

Join instructors Greg Price (L) and Ted Isto (R) on M,W,F between 3-9pm for classes, demonstrations and workshops or just simply enjoy open studio space and work on a project that suits your fancy! Bring a sack lunch and apron and be prepared to get your hands into some clean dirt with these two enthusiastic experts!
When: September 27 - November 19, 2011
Time: M, W, F 3pm - 8pm
Where: UVAA Clay Place Studio
Cost: Adults $200 Teens $120 (member and non-member rates)
Deadline to register: Friday, September 17, 2010
Class fee includes:
Your first bag of cone 6 clay, firing and glazes, hand-building and wheel throwing. Equipment includes kick and electric wheels, slab roller, pugmill and extruder.
